Counselors preparing for 2nd semester and 2010-2011 Class Registration Season
Counselors have been working hard to put together the new registration process for next year through the Parent Portal. Counselors will have their registration schedule on their web pages and will post it in the Principal's Newsletter, the OHS Curriculum Guide and Registration link to the left as well as in the announcements.
Parent Workshops on Class Registration provided to parents on how to navigate through the Class Registration Process, 6 different workshop dates have been arranged, separate dates and times available to parents without internet access to come into OHS computer lab and use it with their child. A Class Registration Manual is nearly completed and in the testing process now to be available online as well.
ACT Test Prep Workshop scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6th 8:30 am to 1:30 pm in the media center at OHS. Cost: $50.00 Register ahead of time in the SSC with Mrs. Burns, SSC Secretary.
Financial Aid Information Session scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 28th at 7pm in the Media Center at OHS. It is recommended that any parent of a high school student should attend as it is never too soon to have this information.
FAFSA FORM SUBMISSION Session available to students and parents on Thursday, Feb. 4th from 7pm. Computer Lab will be available to submit the FAFSA application that evening. Check http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ for the things you must have to complete your application that evening. Some copies are available in the SSC. Remember it is HIGHLY recommended to submit your FAFSA application online as submitting the hard copy will delay your account for up to 3 weeks. See Mrs. Price if you have questions.
