Health Advisory Board

The OPS district’s Reproductive Health Advisory Board is made up of parents, students, and representatives from the community. This executive advisory team makes recommendations to the Board of Education regarding reproductive health curriculum, as topics and issues arise. Some years the group meets only 1-2 times and other years the group meets more frequently.

People interested in being considered to serve on this executive committee should contact Clara Pitt at 729-5678 to request an application. Seats are filled on an "as needed" basis and applications are accepted at any time. Seats are filled through appointments made by the Board of Education. Appointments are made with respect to maintaining a balanced committee which includes representation from parents with OPS students enrolled at preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels. Applications are stamped with a date upon receipt and are kept on file for two years.
